Dear members, I am sure that this exercise will bring fruitful results for all those who need the awareness about low carbon lifestyles. There are very basic and easy to do points through which one can reduce its carbon footprint and can help to save the environment. Tool kit is very useful specially among school children because if they will adopt these things as a part of their daily life, it will bring a stable change in future which will help to develop a sustainable approach. I with my team have also initiated some other methods to spread awareness among general public on environment issues and would like to share those points but first I would like to give my comments on strategies and policies which needs some change to give a fruitful result. MB (5 JUNE 2010) M ission Bhartiyam is continuiously doing well in its environment campaign. The campaign has been already started in Basti District of Uttar Pradesh on 5 JUNE, the world environment day in association with Basti Vikas Samiti and Pratahm Lok Kalyan Samiti. On the day of start Dainik Jagran, the hindi daily has supported us in this noble work and thus we are very thankful to its Basti Unit. We distributed over 300 plants to spread awareness about environment among general public and we have planned to distribute one palnt in every house of city. It will be approximately 25,000 nos. of plants,we targeted. We have also organised a seminar on the issue and we have developed a stategy for the campaign which include various activities on the subject of Environment. These activities will be plant distribution, awareness about environment protection, school activities and promotion of eco friendly arts and business. पर्यावरण दिवस (५ जून) मनाने के बाद हर साल शान्त हो जाने वली सरकारें और संगठन इसके वास्तविक महत्त्व को नकार रहे हैं और मात्र अपनी प्रतिष्ठा और खाना पूरी के लिए ही ऐसा करते हुए मालूम हो रहे हैं. ऐसे बहुत से छोटे नियम बनाए जा सकते है और लोगों को सुविधाएं देकर जागरुक बनाने का काम किया जा सक्ता है जो कम पैसे मे और स्थानीय स्तर पर लिया जा सकता है . स्थानीय अधिकारियों को ऐसे संगठ्नो को सम्पर्क मे लेकर स्थानीय योजनाये बनानी चाहिए और ऐसा होना एक बडा बदलाव ला सकता है. पर्यावरण पर काम करने का मतलब सिर्फ ये नही कि आपको सरकार की ओर से एक भारी भरकम राशि उपलब्ध कराई जाए जिसके बाद ही आप कोई कार्य करें. वास्तव मे हमारी अपनी पहल होनी चाहिए अपने शहर और गांव को पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरुक करने का. तमाम ऐसी योजनाएं और तरीके अपनाने का जो वास्तव मे अत्यन्त उपयोगी सिद्ध हो सकते हैं और इसमे उन तमाम् लोगों का सहयोग लिया जा सकता है जो अपने शहर और गांव के विकास के प्रति प्रतिबद्ध हैं, ऐसे लोग जिन्हे वास्तव मे प्रकृति से प्रेम है और जो इसको नष्ट होने से बचाना चाह्ते हैं और यदि हम ऐसी शुरुआत कर सकें तो ये सिर्फ

very recently, volunteers of mission bhartiyam organized an awreness drive in villages of eastern u.p.. it is observed that children of villages who belong from low earning family go for higher education in very less percentage.moreover they also don’t know about the scope of their education in terms of living a better lifestyle and thus it is needed to motivate them towards acquiring education , towards making their interest in education. This is abig problem of society because it is one reason of unemployment, poverty and improper sanitation and health.In view of the above it is observed to launch a drive mainly in rural areas schools to aware the chil;dren about importance of education and how can they get benefit of education to make a contribution to their family, society and country.

Holi is the Indian festival of celebrating the summer with colours and joy. I think that the real motto of Holi is to give the message of Equality and Uniformity as a social philosophy.This is the festival to spread love , peace and joy among all beyond any perception of Religion,caste and Region. This message is similar to Gandhi's philosophy who always tried to remove the differences arised because of caste,colour,region and religion.He fight for the rights of weaker sections to establish the equality and uniformity among all. I wish that you will also adopt this social philosophy in the life and thus you will celebrate the real Holi.

Every year Mission Bhartiyam organizes youth festival on National Youth Day 12 JAN.This year we organised the event on 10,11&12 JAN 2010 in Basti District of Uttar Pradesh (INDIA).More than a dozen of activities has been organised. We organised following events: seminar & lecture on environment and peace.
